23 February 1989
The boy looked up
confusion painted the
expression in his young years
He saw the men
walking rushing self-involved
ignorance and uncaring ruled
The boy did not
understand Did not know if he
wanted to understand
The boy looked up
the sun shone in a cold patch
on his unlined face
He saw the women
stumbling aching self-involved
paint and mirrors ruled
The boy tried to
understand Could not know why he
wanted to understand
The boy looked up
he was older
he was wiser
he did not understand
how he became the
man who rushed
how he married the
woman whom mirrors ruled
he could not care
his face had lines of worry
lines of confusion
lines of self-pity
his face looked at the
world with eyes jaded
by the bars around him
